The CMI’nov’s team is pleased to announce the winning of this coveted H2020 award, a testimony to the innovative approach it has developed for addressing mitral regurgitation, a large and considerably underserved market. Bernard Pain, CEO declared: “We are pleased to have obtained the highest score, 14.78/15, and the first place, for this competition that was open to participants across Europe.” He added: “The three major scoring criteria were the quality, impact and implementation of the projects. This is a significant recognition of the unmet need in the treatment of mitral regurgitation and of the value our Mit’rep device is expected to provide to reduce that treatment gap.”
Mit’rep is a new generation minimally invasive annuloplasty device for the treatment of functional mitral regurgitation. Nitinol anchors delivered transapically are used to position a braid along the mitral ring, which is then used to reduce the mitral valve diameter at will, in real-time under echography.
